Assigned Pooling

Assigned pooling yarn is dyed to create colour pops on purpose. Not random, not a happy accident - the dye work does the heavy lifting. Great for mindless knitting that makes you pay attention just often enough.

Typically 25-30% of the skein is dyed in a contrasting pop colour. The rest is your background. When the pop shows up, thats your cue - do the thing. When its gone, go back to your background stitch. The yarn tells you when its time.
